What is some advice for couples and friends undergoing fertility procedures?

It’s really an evolving area of the law. There are no hard and fast rules. So I would say on the front end most everybody married or unmarried, homosexual or heterosexual has the same rights and opportunities. On the back end, once the child is born, or once there is a fertilized egg that is stored, that’s where the problems arise. Some of them may be solved by a contractual basis and some of they may not and then we’d have to wait for a judicial resolution that varies from state to state.
