What about tobacco use? This is another question that patients often ask about. Any use of tobacco, even small amounts, has a negative effect on sperm production and sperm function, and so all tobacco use, while it may not be easy to do, all tobacco use should be stopped for couples who are trying to achieve a pregnancy.
